Having the Olympics on British soil is a once in a lifetime experience and the celebrations needn't stop in London....

Here are a few ways to get inspired and involved in the Games in Cornwall!

Communities on route

With twenty communities on the Olympic torch route, there will be at least one stop near you on Saturday 19th May.

Sport Makers volunteer programme

An employee volunteer scheme can be a great way to motivate staff and contribute towards performance development within the workplace. The Sport Makers programme not only offers training support for volunteers but also has a reward scheme to acknowledge their great work.

Inspired Facilities funding

Cornish communities have the opportunity to bid for £10 million of Olympic legacy investment to upgrade their sports facilities with the ‘Inspired Facilities' funding available from Sport England.

Get Active Challenge

Looking for a fun way to get more active with your workmates? The Get Active Cornwall website has an interactive pedometer-style challenge integrated into the site which could see you and your workmates exercise your virtual way round the Cornish coast.

International Mining Games

Taking place on Saturday 31st March to Sunday 1st April and hosted by Camborne School of Mines, the International Mining Games will be held in the UK in 2012 for the first time in its 34 year history.
