Duchy Athletics Network

The Duchy Athletics Network (DAN) has been formed to amalgamate existing strengths and coordinate plans to release potential and nurture talent. The clubs involved have already shown a willingness and ability to build links with schools and each other and to consistently increase membership.
The Network has strong foundations in its committed clubs and winning athletes, from juniors to veterans, competing in Cross Country, Track and Field, Fell Running, Triathlons and Road Running.
As a remote, rural region, Cornwall suffers from lower than average GDP and higher travel costs than most other regions and sporting communities.
The overarching vision is that Cornwall has the best athletes, best clubs and best officials in the UK and the DAN through this agreed action plan is best placed to deliver this.

NHS Couch to 5k

Couch to 5K is a running plan developed to help absolute beginners get into running. The beginners' running plan was developed by a novice runner, Josh Clark, who wanted to help his fifty-something mum get off the couch and start running too. The plan involves three runs per week, with a day of rest inbetween, with a different schedule for each of the nine weeks.
