Well done for reaching Padstow!

Padstow also offers a range of activities including walking and cycling, the world famous Camel Trail, South West Coastal Footpath, water sports including fishing, surfing and sailing and unrivalled Golf on the seaside links of St Enodoc, Trevose and the nearby Merlin Golf Club.

Padstow is also surrounded by glorious clean sandy beaches - no less than 7 bays are within walking distance from one another, as are the villages of St Merryn, St Issey, Little Petherick and St Ervan. So pull out those walking boots for a jolly good stroll or be brave and undertake a spot of wild swimming.

Wild Swimming Spots

Treyarnon Rock Pool - This swimming pool sized natural rock pool in rocks above the sea sits just behind the YHA Cafe. There's a deep section for jumping - if you dare - and Constantine Bay 500m to the north offers superb surfing. Location: PL28 8JP Grid Ref SW855744.

Trevose Round Hole - You can access this adventurous spot from Constantine Bay, it's a collapsed cave so only venture there in calm seas. It sits 200m south from the above car park and has a launch spot for fun jumps from rocks 200m south of the hole. Grid Ref SW851761.

Doom Bar, Padstow - Turn right off the B3276 (Newquay direction) 1km outside Padstow, signaled Hawker's Cove. After 2.5km turn right down a track into a field and find this great swim spot. There are shallows to swim over the Doom Bar itself - but watch those currents! Grid Ref SW912771.

St George's Cove - Walk 1km south from Doom Bar to an ancient well and stop for a pleasant wild swim here. You can access St George's Cove 1.5km north of Padstow town by the coastal path (past the war memorial). Grid Ref SW919765. Also good walks to Stepper Point and Pepper Hole.
