Back to Netball

England Netball is challenging women across the country to head to their nearest Back to Netball session this autumn and get fitter and healthier the netball way.

Back to Netball

Running across England since 2010, over 50,000 women have taken part in Back to Netball in association with ZEO, and realised the benefits of getting involved.  From burning calories and lowering body fat, improving muscle tone and hand-eye co-ordination, and developing the body's cardiovascular system, taking part in Back to Netball is great for you in so many ways.

Sessions provide a gentle re-introduction to the game for women over sixteen and are led by qualified coaches. You can just turn up, sessions are pay and play, and you can expect to cover basic skills like passing and footwork and play in a fun and friendly match.  It doesn't matter if you don't feel that fit, you can take the session at your own pace and there a position on the netball court for everyone.

If you fancy coming along to a Back to Netball session, check out the video below to see what you can expect.

Netball Now

Netball Now is a simple, straight forward way to play netball. Its not a coached session, its not a competition led by rules, regulations or scores recorded it is simply a session that you turn up at, pay a small fee and play a game of netball!

If you're currently playing and want to play a bit more as it beats the gym; or if you're looking for a flexible, non-committed way to play netball then Netball Now is for you!

Anyone who is 16 and over can join in with Netball Now. We will need you to register at your first session but after that you're ready to play at a Netball Now session whenever you want to. You do not have to be an affiliated member to take part, but those that are will usually receive a discount.

It is a simple game of netball and hopefully lots of fun. It is important that you know and appreciate there is no coaching at the sessions.

There will be time for you to warm up before you hit the court and during the session there will be chance to try various positions on court and in some cases even have a go at umpiring. At the end of the session we will also give you time to cool down to prevent those aches, pains and injuries kicking in!
