Active Travel

Active Travel is the term used for modes of travel that involve physical activity, most commonly walking and cycling.

Active Travel Maps have been produced for Truro, Bodmin, Camborne and St Austell as part of Cornwall's Access to Education project, supported via the Local Sustainable Transport Fund. The maps have been designed and produced by Sustrans in association with Cycle City Guides.

Cycling

The maps show Schools, local shops, green spaces and how to get to them on foot, by bike or by public transport.

The Cornish Way is comprised of over 200 miles of inter-linking trails connecting Bude to Lands End which are excellent for daily travel, leisure and health.
With mainly minor and rural road and traffic-free, off-road routes there are opportunities for new or novice cyclists as well as some challenging routes for the more experienced. Even if you don't have your own bike, you can hire one for the day.

Cornish Way maps can be found at www.cornwall.gov.uk/cornishway or hard copies can be obtained from Tourist Information Centres.
