Amateur Swimming Association

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.



Amateur Swimming Association - South West

Affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association, they are the regional site for swimming, synchronised swimming, open water swimming, diving and waterpolo in the south west of England.



British Swimming

British Swimming is the National Governing Body for Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Open Water in Great Britain.  It is responsible internationally for the high performance representation of the sport.



Swimming Trust

The Swimming Trust is strongly committed to endorsing the wellbeing benefits that participation in swimming brings. The Trust believes that there is opportunity to engage, on a large scale, an increased number of people participating in the sport of swimming and will continue to develop new interventions to take swimming to those who have not traditionally participated or who face barriers to participation.




Swimfit is an online coaching facility full of advice and fun programmes to help swimmers structure their time in the pool.

Institute of Swimming
