In these challenging times with many of the usual forms of activity out of bounds walking is one of the easiest and least costly forms of activity that you can do. If you are at the start of your exercise journey, then walking is an ideal activity to get you going and you can start slowly and build up gradually. It can also act as a great launch pad to progress on to other forms of activity.

You don't need any special equipment or training to get started and it's easy to make a few changes to your daily life to make walking a bigger part of the way you get around. Whether that's by walking at least part of the way to work, to the shops, to meet friends or by taking the kids to school on foot!

For those that want to do more, we are blessed with an amazing natural environment here in Cornwall, including wood and moorland trails, coastal paths as well as miles of public footpaths. Getting out into open spaces is a great way to learn more about your local area and connect with nature and wherever you live, you don't have to travel far.
